Pricing, in plain terms

Pushpay

  • Pushpay doesn't publish a monthly price; you get a quote after a demo. Industry blogs estimate roughly $199–400 a month for giving only. That's an estimate, not a number Pushpay has confirmed. What Pushpay does publish are its processing fees: 2.1–2.9% + $0.20–$0.30 per card gift and 0.5–1% + $0.20–$0.30 per ACH gift, set by your total giving volume.
  • Check scanning is listed from $0.29 per check.
  • Reviewers describe multi-year, auto-renewing contracts.
  • What churches report: one church on Reddit (r/worshipleaders, about two years ago, no church size given) said Pushpay, which they use for church management (CCB), and Subsplash each ran them approximately $3,000 a year, or about $250 a month, and that Pushpay pushed for a 3-year contract. That's a single church, not a price list, but it's a real number from someone who signed.

⚠️ Where each falls short

Pushpay

  • Contracts default to 36 months, auto-renew for the same term unless you give 90 days' notice, and can't be cancelled early without paying the balance source
  • Software prices are quote-only, and fees can rise up to 10% a year at renewal source
  • Pushpay must be your only payment processor during the contract source
  • Value for money rated 3.6 and support 3.8 on Capterra, with cost and slow support common complaints source
  • A 2025 Capterra reviewer reports data issues in migration and no phone support line source

Givelify

  • Setup paperwork is laborious, with documents requested one step at a time source
  • Donors can't choose to cover processing fees, unlike Tithe.ly source
  • Few church management integrations (e.g. Breeze, Planning Center), so gifts get imported by hand source
  • The flat 2.9% + $0.30 rate gives no ACH or volume break, which gets expensive at scale source
  • Reporting is shallow compared to Pushpay or Planning Center Giving source

Our verdict

Givelify suits small churches whose people already give through its app. There's no monthly fee and no contract, deposits arrive the next business day, and donors rate it 4.8 on Capterra. Its limits: a flat 2.9% + $0.30 with no ACH break, few church-management integrations (so gifts get imported by hand), and shallow reporting.

Pushpay only makes sense for a large church with staff to run it and the stomach for a 36-month auto-renewing contract with quote-only pricing. If you're under a few hundred people, I'd start with Givelify, or a lower-fee option, long before I took a Pushpay demo.
