Pushpay and Tithe.ly sit at opposite ends of the commitment spectrum. One asks for a demo, a quote and usually a multi-year contract; the other lets you sign up tonight for $0 a month and walk away whenever you like.
Churches tend to land on this comparison when they've outgrown a basic giving button and someone on the board has seen a slick Pushpay demo.

Read the Pushpay contract terms before anything else. The contract terms we sourced describe 36-month contracts that auto-renew unless you give 90 days' notice, no early exit without paying the balance, renewal increases of up to 10% a year, and Pushpay as your only payment processor for the term. Some large, multi-staff churches decide a polished branded app is worth that, and reviewers do praise its ease of use and text giving.
For most small and mid-size congregations, Tithe.ly is the safer move: published fees (2.9% + $0.30 cards, 1% + $0.30 ACH), no contract, and the option to add an app and website through All Access at $119 a month. Its weak spots are real, too. Reviewers report missed recurring gifts and statement problems after its 2.0 update, so test year-end statements during your trial.
