⚠️ Read this before installing ArtCraft apps

Alpha software. Every Craft app is alpha or pre-alpha (AniCraft has no release). Its own developer calls it "not anywhere close to ready" (InfoQ). Keep backups and don't use it on Sunday-critical files yet.
Fake downloads. Only download from github.com/storytold/<app>/releases or getartcraft.com. Look-alike sites distributing malware have been reported.
Legal / ethics. They are clean-room reimplementations under Apache-2.0. That's generally lawful, but trade-dress, terms-of-service and patent questions against Adobe, Microsoft, Autodesk and Avid are untested, and AI-built cloning is ethically debated. Ask your lawyer if your church will rely on them.
Safe default: for production work today, the mature picks are DaVinci Resolve, Affinity, GIMP/Krita, Inkscape, Kdenlive/Shotcut, Darktable, LibreOffice and Audacity.
